Terms of Service

RaceControl provides real-time GPS tracking for motorsport and enduro race events. To use the app, you need a valid QR code from your race registration. The app is operated by Ricardo Mitterer, RED-Sports, based in Austria.

You must be at least 16 years old to use RaceControl. A valid race registration is required. By using the app, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You are responsible for keeping your device sufficiently charged during race events, granting the required permissions (camera for QR scanning, location for GPS tracking), and providing accurate personal information during authentication.

Tracking activates automatically around scheduled race events and collects GPS coordinates, battery level, and timestamps. You can disable auto-start tracking from the home screen at any time. For full details on what we collect and how, see Tracking & Privacy.

Your data is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH on servers located in Germany and Finland (EU). All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Hetzner operates under strict GDPR compliance with a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and comprehensive technical and organizational measures in place.

The service is provided "as is" without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. Tracking accuracy depends on your device's GPS hardware, network connectivity, and environmental conditions. We strive for reliable service but cannot guarantee it at all times.

RaceControl supports race safety by enabling live position monitoring, but it does not replace on-ground emergency services or safety personnel. The race organizer remains responsible for participant safety. We are not liable for damages arising from tracking interruptions or inaccuracies.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes within the app.
